About Dr. Gallay

I am a licensed clinical psychologist in private practice in Los Angeles.

I completed my undergraduate studies at UCLA, where I majored in Philosphy and graduated Summa Cum Laude.  I received my Master’s and Doctorate degrees in Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology, an APA-accredited program. As part of my graduate work, I published my clinical dissertation on artistic creativity and the underlying causes of, and most effective treatments for, creative blocks of all kinds. I completed two years of pre- and post-doctoral training at Wright Institute Los Angeles where I received specialized training in psychoanalytic theory and technique. I am currently a candidate at Los Angeles Institute and Society for Psychoanalytic Studies, where I am pursuing a second doctorate and certification as a psychoanalyst.

I have worked at a variety of clinical settings throughout Los Angeles, including Southern California Counseling Center, Santa Anita Family Services, and Bridges to Recovery Residential Treatment Center.  In addition to the in-depth coursework and supervision I've undergone in the theory and practice of psychoanalytic therapy, I also have training and experience in diverse areas of clinical interest, including:
